There is much debate about the use of digital immunity passports as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Such digital tools to certify immunity could help spur economic recovery, but raise ethical and privacy concerns. How to build trust in such a solution? What elements make them interoperable among countries? How is people’s data related to their immunity status governed?

Ten years ago CRITIS 2011 was held in Lucerne. On September 27, 28 & 29, 2021, the 16th International Conference on Critical Information Infrastructures Security (CRITIS 2021) will be back in Switzerland and take place at the EPFL SwissTech Convention Center. CRITIS 2021 aims to bring together researchers, professionals from academia, critical (information) infrastructure operators, industry, defence and governmental organizations working in the field of critical infrastructures protection (CIP).
On September, 28: CRITIS 2021 will be held in conjunction with a Cyber-Defence Campus Conference from armasuisse Science and Technology (member of the C4DT) and hence contribute to an important application vertical of the C4DT (see Critical Infrastructure Archives – C4DT). A Cyber Startup Challenge will take place in the form of a market exploration where young companies can present and implement a proof of concept of its technology in the Swiss Armed Forces systems.
On September, 27 & 29: CRITIS 2021 will continue the tradition of bringing forth innovative scientific research in the field of CIP, exploring ideas that address challenges to resilience and societal safety, and fostering dialogue with stakeholders.
